Protect your home or small business in true high definition with Foscam's do it yourself security camera surveillance kit. The kit includes a high definition NVR (recorder) capable of recording up to 8 1080p high def cameras in real time. Also included are 4 compact bullet style cameras with 1080p high resolution colour imaging during the day. At night they automatically switch to night vision mode where they can see in pitch black up to 20 meters / 65 feet so you'll be able to catch the action day or night, lights on or off!
The included recorder saves video to a pre-installed 2 terabye hard drive and can be set to record each camera full time 24/7, on schedule, or based on motion sensing as needed, and when connected to a broadband always on Internet connection, it will also provide remote viewing using Foscam's free iPhone or Android apps.
The whole kit is designed to be plug and play - the cameras connect to the recorder using supplied Ethernet cables and are plug-and-play, with no network set up needed and no power supplies required for the cameras - they get their power from the recorder using PoE (power over Ethernet). The recorder connects to your home or business wired network for local network viewing and has a built in VGA and HDMI port so you can connect a local monitor (not included).
You can add additional FI9900E cameras to expand the kit. It also supports other Foscam cameras and ONVIF cameras from other brands. However we strongly recommend using Foscam cameras with this kit for the best experience and support.
